Support MSF DAY!

MSF day is coming this year, Our ReachUp team is committed to lining up different groups of people and students to support MSF: an international, independent medical humanitarian organization across the word for the global mission of Equality, Inclusion, and Sustainability

MSF teams are on the ground every day, working in areas affected by conflicts, natural disasters or epidemics, striving to deliver medical aid to refugees, people surviving in disasters and to vulnerable groups. It may not be possible for you to be a fieldworker and work on the front line, but you can still give us a hand in providing essential medical health care to those suffering in distress. Join MSF day Now! Giving a day to MSF, together we can save more lives. Please kindly join the event and contribute your effects through the MSF website.

Join hands together: Apply STEM for UN’s SDG mission  “Carbon Neutrality” as a Change Agent!

Globally, we are deeply aware of the climate emergency, and has set a series of intermediate targets to meet to make sure we make good progress on “Carbon neutrality”

We have already pledged to achieve carbon neutrality by 2038. As carbon dioxide has a lifespan of about a century in the atmosphere, we have to reach carbon neutrality well before 2050 to guarantee that our planet remains below the critical 1.5oC.

What you can do to contribute for the change?

Grounded on the themes of United Nation’s IPCC The Sixth Assessment Report (AR6), ReachUp for STEM committee has set up the eight-week summer program (online and offline) that targets for secondary school and university students with an interest in environmental sustainability, including  climate change, new energy, social inclusion.

Programme Features

Vision: Unitize digital STEM education as an educational planform  to nurture and influence change-agents for positive sustainable education

Mission: Position campus as a living lab for sustainable innovation, practice, and learning, integrating art into its science communication.

Value: Emphasize Co-Design and joint collaborations to enable today’s youth to play an active and meaningful role in tackling climate change challenges through hands-on team-based innovation.

The whole program applies flexible mode and multiple-modules, please fill in the application form for registration of our information session on 26 June 12 am (HKT)

Computational Thinking Workshop

In education setting, computational thinking (CT) is a set of problem-solving methods that involve expressing problems and their solutions in ways that a computer could also execute. It involves automation of processes, but also using computing to explore, analyse, and understand processes.

Cultivating Computational Thinking for STEM education development is essential, especially for female students:

After joining this workshop, you could be able to:

Describe the skills that are involved in computational thinking

Define and use the concepts of abstraction as modelling and abstraction as encapsulation

Understand the distinctive nature of computational thinking, when compared with engineering and mathematical thinking

Be aware of a range of applications of computational thinking in different disciplines.

Please feel free to join us to acquire the computational mindset and hands-on toolkit!
